Return Policy

Prescription Drug Returns

We are not legally permitted to restock prescription medications.

Rockland Veterinary is unable to guarantee the integrity of any prescription product, as defined by governing pharmacy laws, once the product has left the hospital premises. Therefore, Rockland Veterinary Care is unable to process refunds on prescription products for any reason.

Unopened medications with intact tamperproof packaging (i.e. foil wrapper, sealed prepackaged container) may be eligible for returns in some cases within 30 days of purchase. We reserve the right to refuse the return of any medication.

If there has been an error in the filling of a prescription, we may choose to dispose of the prescription and provide you with a replacement or refund. If an item qualifies for a return, it must be within a maximum of 30 days from the date of the purchase.

*Refrigerated products are not eligible for returns/refunds.

Items must be accompanied by an original sales receipt. Refunds are provided via credit card refund, check or a credit applied to a client’s account. If you paid with cash, a check will be issued but can take 3-6 weeks to process.

Controlled Drug Returns

Controlled drugs are not eligible for return under any circumstances.

Over the Counter (OTC) Drug Returns

Non-Prescription Drug Product Returns

Unopened nonprescription items in their original packaging may be returned in some cases for a full refund up to a maximum of 30 days from the date of purchase. Items must be accompanied by an original sales receipt. We reserve the right to refuse the return of any products.

Pet Foods and Prescription Diets

The producers of our prescription pet foods guarantee their products, so if you or your pet are dissatisfied with a food for any reason, you may request a refund or a replacement diet.

If you simply wish to return or exchange unopened cans or unopened/open bags, you may do so as long as the items are in their original packaging. Items must be accompanied by an original sales receipt.
