Order Online Pharmacy Policy

It is the policy of Rockland Veterinary not to support any online pharmacy unless it has been verified by the doctors that said pharmacy receives its medications directly from qualified vendors.

Clients who wish to order their pet(s)’ medication(s) from online pharmacies other than VetStoreRx first must:

  1. Have an annual wellness exam by a DVM for their pet(s) at our clinic;
  2. Have any required blood work and diagnostic testing up-to-date for their pet(s);
  3. For canine heartworm preventative medications, dogs must have had a Heartworm Test done at our clinic within that year, and have had that test result be negative;
  4. Received a written prescription from the DVM, a photocopy of which will be kept in the pet(s)’ medical records.

Rockland Veterinary doctors will provide written prescriptions(s), upon clients’ requests, to the client provided that the above requirements have been met, and documented in their pet(s)’ medical records. Clients will be responsible for obtaining the written prescription(s) either by picking them up in a timely fashion from our clinic, or having Rockland Veterinary staff mail the written prescription(s) to the address we have on file for the client.

The submission of any written prescription(s) to an online pharmacy other than VetStoreRx rests solely with the client, and Rockland Veterinary staff and doctors will not fax, mail, email, or call-in any prescriptions to any other online pharmacy. Rockland Veterinary team and doctors will not approve any faxed or phone call requests received from other online pharmacies.

Rockland Veterinary will no longer match the prices of any medication with the prices of any other online pharmacies. Clients who wish to purchase medications from our clinic may do so at our in-clinic prices. Those in-clinic prices are subject to change at any time and without prior notification. It is the responsibility of the client to contact our clinic for updated costs information.
